About The Sankara Beach Penida
The Sankara Beach Penida is a boutique luxury beachfront property located on the island of Nusa Penida, Klungkung, Bali. Featuring 15 exclusive rooms, complemented by a restaurant and bar, the property offers a distinctive and intimate hospitality experience in one of Bali’s most breathtaking destinations. Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Operations Manager to lead the full operational functions of The Sankara Beach Penida. As the most senior on-site leader, you will be directly responsible for the property’s day-to-day operations, guest experience, team performance, and financial health. This role reports directly to the Corporate Group Business Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all operational departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance
- Ensure consistent delivery of the Sankara service standards across all guest touchpoints
- Drive revenue performance through effective yield management, upselling culture, and cost control
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing on-site team across all departments
- Manage vendor relationships and supply chain logistics, including inter-island procurement challenges unique to Nusa Penida
- Maintain full compliance with Indonesian labor regulations, health & safety standards, and company policies
- Prepare and submit regular operational and financial reports to the Corporate Group Business Manager
- Handle escalated guest complaints and ensure resolution aligned with luxury service standards
- Collaborate with the Corporate HR function on staffing, performance management, and people development
- Represent the property with professionalism in all interactions with guests, partners, and local stakeholders
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Diploma III (D3) or Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Proven track record in boutique or luxury property operations is a strong advantage
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team in a remote island environment
- Solid understanding of F&B operations, room division, and general property maintenance
- Good command of English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia required
- Proficient in VHP and standard MS Office applications
- High integrity, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to be based permanently in Nusa Penida
