Position: Engineering Supervisor
What You’ll Do
- Supervise the daily operations of the Engineering Department during the pre-opening phase and ongoing operations.
- Lead and coordinate engineering technicians, contractors, and external vendors to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.
- Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of all building systems, ensuring compliance with luxury hospitality standards.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all villa facilities and equipment.
- Ensure optimal performance of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), HVAC, swimming pool systems, water treatment, STP, generators, elevators (where applicable), and fire & life safety systems.
- Supervise and maintain smart villa technologies, including Building Management Systems (BMS), smart room automation, digital door locks, lighting control, energy management systems, CCTV, access control, high-speed internet, IPTV, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and IoT-enabled guest technologies.
- Work closely with the IT Department to ensure seamless integration between engineering infrastructure and hospitality technology platforms.
- Conduct routine inspections and implement effective solutions to maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and guest comfort.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, occupational health and safety requirements, and environmental sustainability standards.
- Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, asset registers, and technical reports.
- Support departmental budgeting, inventory management, energy conservation, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and develop engineering team members while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical support during emergency situations and ensure minimal disruption to guest operations.
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of engineering experience in luxury hotels, resorts, villas, mixed-use developments, or high-end residential properties, including supervisory experience.
- Previous pre-opening experience in luxury hospitality is highly preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, swimming pool equipment, generators, water treatment systems, fire protection systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
- Experience with smart building technologies, IoT devices, automation systems, networking fundamentals, CCTV, access control, and energy management systems is highly desirable.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and preventive maintenance skills.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and project coordination abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, IT, Housekeeping, Front Office, and Project teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Highly organized, proactive, and committed to delivering exceptional quality and guest satisfaction.
